The AH-208 'Eagle' Assault Pistol is a large pistol chambered in .44 Magnum. It was manufactured by Enravion Combat Solutions and introduced in Sergeant Kelly's Weapon Pack V8.
Background[]
Built as a more affordable alternative to the AH-104, the AH-208 is an alternate design chambered for .44 magnum rounds instead of the usual $100 .600 HEAP ones. It is less accurate than the AH-104 and D49, but its 8 round magazine and faster reload times let it put more rounds down range than both. Its significant weight and recoil means it requires both hands to shoot and is harder to control than its revolver and hand cannon siblings, a fact that comes into play where range is a concern. While not as popular as its larger .600 cousin, the AH-208 packs a formidable punch and is a force to be reckoned with.
Gameplay[]
Shoot the bad guys till they die. This extremely strong pistol can outperform most smaller pistols, but is harder to control due to its weight and recoil. At close range you will hold a large advantage against your foes, so move in close and start blasting. Avoid close range .50 cals (AM67/DE .50) and long range weapons (AH104/D49) and you'll find the '208 is more than capable of holding its own against the opposition. Use the laser sight for increased accuracy and the alternate fire pistol whip when things get really desperate.
Compared to the other .44 pistol, the D49, the AH208 is slightly weaker and less accurate, but holds more ammunition and can reload quicker. Unlike the .44 Revolver, the AH208 cannot be dual wielded. The AH208 and AH250 also have the lowest limb damage of the heavy pistols, killing in 4 shots while others can do the deed in 2 or 3.

Trivia[]
- The AH208 had an earlier model that only vaguely resembled a Desert Eagle, for unknown reasons, this AH208 would appear upsidedown in the left hand.
- The AH208's first model was intended to replace the AH104, but was deemed unsuitable.
- The AH208 went through two models by Glosmostinex before Azarael's model was chosen.
